Ibero American Action League presented Usherwood Office Technology with their Vendor of the Year Award at their annual luncheon yesterday. The award recognizes an individual or business that helps IBERO move their mission forward and continues to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to IBERO’s agency and programs. We are honored to accept this award and wish to congratulate them on 50 years of success in offering programs and services to families to enrich the community.

We are proud to announce Meriah Maneri has accepted an opportunity to be the Tier II Managed IT Technician for the entire Usherwood Managed IT Department. In her new capacity, Meriah will oversee the response and resolution of service requests from all Usherwood Office Technology employees. This includes assisting with the onboarding of new staff, along with resolving software, hardware and connectivity issues. Meriah will also work with Brittany Langdon to document the policies and procedures needed to generate consistent, world class customer service to all our employees. Meriah has been with Usherwood Office Technology since November 2006. Meriah has worked in a variety of roles at Usherwood, primarily supporting our customer base. Meriah has completed a variety of technical certifications, including Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and CompTIA A+. Please join us in congratulating Meriah in her new role.

We are proud to announce that Dan Smith has been promoted from Senior Network Engineer to Manager of Engineering Services. In his new position, Dan will be responsible for operational leadership within the Engineering Services Team. The Engineering Service Team is primarily responsible for deploying Managed IT projects, including the onboarding of Managed IT customers. Dan started with Usherwood Office Technology on January 3rd, 2011. Dan has been an invaluable member of the engineering team for more than seven years. Since his hire date he as demonstrated many leadership skills including customer management and computer engineering certifications; including MCSA and MCITP, as well as many others.

It is our pleasure to announce Paul Schnell as a Senior Service Technician to the Buffalo region. Paul specializes in the repair and maintenance of our client’s digital copiers, multifunctional printers, and network print management. Paul comes to Usherwood with over 29 year experience in the industry. Most recently as a Senior Technology Specialist at Ricoh USA. Paul graduated from Seneca Vocational High School with a scholarship from the National Electronic Technical School where he earned his certificate for computer maintenance and repair. Paul is also CompTIA A+ certified. In his free time, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and their three sons. He likes watching movies, listening to music, and game nights with his family.

On Wednesday, September 12th, Usherwood Office Technology was proud to be honored at the CNY Best Places to Work awards ceremony. BizEventz and The Business Journal News Network (BJNN) partnered with Research & Marketing Strategies Inc. (RMS) to conduct the 6th annual CNY Best Places to Work survey. The survey measures employee satisfaction and recognizes the best places of employment in Central New York (based on the employee satisfaction survey). The Canon Dealer Advisory meets twice a year with the executives from Canon to help guide communication with the dealer network throughout the United States. Most recently they met on September 11-14 in San Francisco. It is with great pride we announce that upon his retirement from Usherwood in July 2018, Mike Brown has had his number retired by the company and was presented with his own Usherwood hockey jersey. A celebratory dinner was held on Thursday, September 6th. Pictured here with some of the Usherwood employees that Mike has shared his job with over the year along with company President, Lou Usherwood. The group shared old stories from years gone by and everyone was able to give Mike a true farewell. We here at Usherwood would like to wish Mike our best in all his future endeavors. Mike retires from Usherwood after nearly 20 years, coming to Usherwood from Ikon in 1998. Mike has been a real asset to this company and he will be missed by clients and coworkers alike.

It is our pleasure to announce Eric Kessler as a Senior Technician to our Binghamton, NY office. Eric will be responsible for repair and maintenance of our client’s digital copiers, multifunctional printers, and network print management. Eric comes to Usherwood with over 30 years’ experience in the field. Most recently as a Service Technician for Ricoh in Binghamton, NY. Eric holds a Canon Bronze ATSP certification. In his spare time, Eric collects Chevy Chevettes and plastic scale model car kits. He enjoys spending time with his two brothers who live close by.
