Usherwood Office Technology Celebrates Historic Growth Across Northeast At Fiscal Year-End Meeting
SYRACUSE, N.Y., October 23, 2023 –
Usherwood Office Technology's 151 employees celebrated the company's remarkable growth during its fiscal year kickoff event at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino.
The information technology and managed service provider reported a 24 percent increase in revenue for the 2023 fiscal year (from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023).
This substantial growth more than doubled the year-over-year revenue growth rate from 2022 and exceeded the company's planned revenue growth by 8.5 percent. This included the addition of over 300 new clients from across the Northeast, with significant expansion in managed IT/network security and managed communications services.
"All of Usherwood's growth this past year occurred despite an uncertain economic outlook and continued supply chain pressure," shared Usherwood President Ken Stinson. "Usherwood employees continue to provide world-class service to our clients and are the foundation of future growth."
Usherwood is proud of its ongoing investment in the development of its employees. In the past year, the company has hired 40 new employees, promoted 10 individuals internally, and provided over 2,342 hours of training to its technicians. Usherwood was also named the CNY Business Journal's "Best Place to Work" in the 100-plus employee category for 2023. The company plans to increase its workforce and add 30 more jobs in the upcoming year.
Over the past year, Usherwood employees continued to deliver industry-leading support, including the Odyssey Security Center closing more than 57,000 tickets, completing over 500 IT projects, resolving 17,500 service calls and 90,790 IT support tickets, and traveling more than 1.1 million miles to provide on-site support.
"Usherwood is founded on the belief that if you take care of your employees, they will take care of your clients. Our 46 years of delivering IT solutions to our clients has allowed us to create a stable foundation for our clients to build their business upon. In short, they trust us," said CEO Lou Usherwood.
In the upcoming fiscal year, the company plans to continue its rapid growth by investing further in its Odyssey Security Center. As the frequency of cyberattacks continues to grow for small and medium-sized businesses, it is critical that they have a partner like Usherwood with the resources to keep their business secure, compliant, and stable.
Headquartered in Syracuse, NY, Usherwood Office Technology has locations across the Northeast. With ten offices in New York State and another seven across Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts, Usherwood has continued its expansion into New England. In November 2022, Usherwood acquired the office equipment division of Reprographics of New England, a privately owned office technology provider in Winooski, Vermont.
