To Zoom or Not To Zoom

Managed Communications

Of all the things to come out of our time at home due to the COVID-19 crisis I think it’s fair to say that “Zoombombing” was not something any of us saw coming. I include Zoom themselves in that. With Zoom use up 20x what it was prior to our current circumstances they are feeling the pains that come with security that wasn’t quite ready for commercial primetime. See this link for more:

Privacy and encryption are a big concern when it comes to online communication. Microsoft Teams has been a tremendous asset for us here when we moved to fully work from home. Not only does it allow us all to stay in touch, it does it with security in mind. Microsoft themselves recently published a blog that highlights what they are bringing to the table.

“We meet more than 90 regulatory and industry standards” is an eye-catcher. Look Zoom could be a good way to keep in touch with friends or family but when it comes to professional communication that often involves PII (personally identifiable information) I would rather know that security is top of mind for the platform I’m using.

Usherwood puts their trust in Microsoft Teams, if you would like more info please feel free to reach to us for a demo and see how it can help transform how you communicate with your team, and clients.
