Lou Usherwood began his career with Usherwood Office Technology in 1986 as a salesperson in the companies Syracuse office. After successfully launching the company in Syracuse, he then opened established business in nearby cities around the city. In 1993, Lou became President of Usherwood and in 1997, purchased the business from his parents Charles and Carol Usherwood. Since then, Lou has opened an additional 17 branch offices of the company in six states throughout the Northeast United States. He has also stewarded four additional business acquisitions and in his thirty-five years with the company Lou has seen sales increase from 2 Million in revenues to over 34 Million in revenues in 2020. Lou was born in Oswego, New York and went on to graduate High School at the Northwood School in Lake Placid. He was awarded an Associates of Graduates Scholarship from the United States Military Academy at West Point and later received a Congressional nomination to attend West Point. Lou spent two years at West Point and excelled in Military Leadership. He gained an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army in 1986 and then joined the family business. In his time away from the office, Lou keeps busy by playing Ice Hockey, Tennis, and researching genealogy. Lou has served on the Channel Dealer Advisory Board for Canon and Xerox and is a past Board Member of the Copier Dealers Association.
Charlie Usherwood is Corporate Vice President of Service and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Usherwood Office Technology. In Charlie’s capacity he is responsible for the development of security, infrastructure and business applications. Those include, but are not limited to Usherwood’s Managed IT Services, Managed Print, Managed Security lines of business. He is also responsible for Usherwood’s service group and is a member of the Usherwood Leadership Team. Charlie began his career at Usherwood in 1982 working in the newly formed computer group. In 1990, during a brief departure of Usherwood, Charlie was a Systems Engineer at Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He rejoined Usherwood in 1999 as Chief Technology Officer and in 2001 obtained Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. At the same time Usherwood Office Technology became a Microsoft Gold Partner. During the tenure of Charlie’s leadership at Usherwood, he has grown our service group to over 50 service engineers and technicians. In addition, Charlie has helped lead the growth of Usherwood’s complete managed IT services and commits himself to high levels of achievement by introducing training programs that continually strengthen Usherwood’s capabilities. Charlie and his wife Karen reside in Tampa, Florida. They have three children and six grandchildren. In his spare time, Charlie enjoys fishing the flats.
Andrew Flamik is Vice President of Finance for Usherwood Office Technology. Andrew joined Usherwood in 2010 as an Intern within the Finance Department while studying at Le Moyne College where he received a B.S. in Accounting and an MBA. Upon graduation, Andrew was brought on as Assistant Controller in 2011 and was named Controller in 2012 before becoming Vice President of Finance in 2016. As Vice President of Finance for Usherwood, Andrew focuses his time on supervision of the company’s finance and administrative personnel as well as functions ranging from ongoing financial operations, strategic planning and budgeting. In his spare time, Andrew enjoys golf, fishing, watching sports and volunteering with local organizations. Andrew is on the Board of Directors for the Milton J. Rubenstein Museum of Science and Technology Foundation.
Ken Stinson is Corporate Vice President of Sales for Usherwood Office Technology. Ken joined Usherwood in 2015 as Vice President of Information Technology Sales and Services with over 15 years of industry experience. Ken came to Usherwood after serving for the past 10 years in various sales leadership positions within the Global Imaging division of Xerox. At Usherwood Ken is responsible for overseeing all sales operations for the company’s nine branch locations in New York State and New England. Ken began his career at ComDoc in Buffalo, NY in 1995. There Ken earned multiple President’s Club awards and quickly rose into a sales leadership position within the Western New York Region. In 1999 Ken became Vice President of Sales and a founding member of a Boston, MA based Technology Company. In this leadership role Ken was responsible for the development and implementation of company sales strategies and processes. In 2001, Ken guided the company’s operations until it’s eventual sale in 2004. Following this position, Ken moved back to Western New York where he was recruited to join the GIS division of Xerox overseeing Buffalo and Rochester sales operations. Ken is a 1995 graduate from Buffalo State College with a BA in Communications. When away from work, Ken enjoys spending time with his wife of 12 years, Jean, and their three boys Kenny, Cole and Trey. Ken is an avid golfer who is also active in coaching youth baseball in Amherst, NY. He currently serves as a board member for the 100 Club of Western New York.
Cliff Laws is the Vice President of Operations at Usherwood Office Technology. Cliff graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1998 with a B.S. in Accounting. He began his career at Usherwood in 1998 as entry level finance administrator and rose through the ranks to become Controller in 2003. During his career at Usherwood, Cliff has helped lead the company from 35 employees with two branches to over 120 employees with nine branches today. In 2012 Cliff was promoted to the Vice President of Finance and in 2013 he was awarded one of Central New York’s Financial Executive of the Year. In 2016, Cliff was again promoted, this time to Vice President of Operations. In his duties at Usherwood, Cliff is responsible for all hardware and software inventories, Usherwood’s multiple distribution centers, vendor relations, and business logistics. Cliff has been a member of Usherwood’s Leadership Team since 2006 and plays a critical role in the company’s strategic planning and process implementation. Cliff resides in Clay, NY with his wife Nicole, and four energetic boys, CJ, Parker, Jake, and Mason. In his free time, Cliff’s weekends are occupied with sports and time with family.
Lindsay Usherwood is General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Usherwood Office Technology. Lindsay began her career at Usherwood in 2012 as a product specialist supporting Usherwood’s sales team across New York State. In 2015, Lindsay left her position to pursue a law degree at Syracuse University College of Law where she received her Juris Doctor. She graduated as the President of the Corporate Law Society and subsequently passed the New York State Bar exam. She then returned to Usherwood as the company’s first in-house counsel in 2018. At Usherwood, Lindsay is responsible for managing both the legal and compliance functions of Usherwood and for providing the leadership team with strategic legal advice. Lindsay and her fiancé Zach reside in Boston, MA, and in their free time enjoy playing tennis, golfing, and leisurely bike riding.
